I have been working with embedded systems, digital control and digital signal processing for over a decade. I have designed signal processing systems with assembly, C, C++ and VHDL for power electronics applications. I have found the use of VHDL and FPGAs in the design of embedded systems the most interesting due to the combination of logic level implementation designed with high level language features offered by VHDL.
